11th and 12th grade students who are interested in taking college classes that will also count towards high school graduation can apply for Running Start. This program offers students free tuition. Students can attend any local community college and will work with their school counselor throughout the process.

Here is what the process looks like overall:
- Apply on the college website as a running start student. You will need the transcript and your test scores from the counselor or registrar.
- Once you get your acceptance email you will need to set up your ctclink account with the student number they send you.
- You will need to do an online orientation that takes you through different slides of information about college including accessing resources
- You will meet with your counselor and fill out the Running Start Enrollment Verification Form (RSEVF). This form tells the college how many credits you are taking at Crossroads/Sno-isle and how many credits you can take at the college. This also includes the classes you are hoping to take. It is recommended you start with only 1 or 2 classes at Running Start your first quarter.
- You will send your RSEVF to the running start advising, then you will have to meet with an advisor so they can make a plan for the college classes and help you finalize your college schedule.
- You will then let your counselor and registrar know how many credits you signed up for once you finalize registration.
- You may need to adjust your schedule for Crossroads if the times of college classes conflict.
- You will go through the RSEVF and meetings with the Crossroads counselor and College Advisor each quarter.
